Pornhub says searches for aliens and Area 51 are out of this world     DATE: 2024-05-23 13:43:40

There's a whole lot of talk about aliens on the internet right now, and it's even driving people to go hunting for extraterrestrials on the web's biggest adult video website, Pornhub.

In wake of the viral Facebook event about storming Area 51 began making the rounds earlier in July, searches for both Area 51 and aliens have spiked on Pornhub, according to the site's internal analytics team.

Since July 12, searches for Area 51 have taken off like a rocket to Mars. Between July 12 and July 16, there have been more than 160,000 total searches with nearly 59,000 searches logged on Tuesday, July 16.

As for "aliens," that's actually notan uncommon search term on Pornhub, which has seen more than 30,000 searches for the subject on a daily basis over the last year. But in recent weeks those searches spiked by 217 percent on July 2 and 199 percent on July 14 and 15.

Somehow, "alien impregnation" managed to rate as the highest search term above "alien sex," "alien girl," and, of course, "alien probe."

And, in case you were wondering, Alaska leads the way on these recent spikes in searches, followed by West Virginia, and Wyoming, proving love of aliens on Pornhub have no geographical limitations.

Besides the spread of that Facebook invite and its ensuing memes, it seems some new attention around Area 51 whistleblower Bob Lazar has helped drive both the memes and searches on Pornhub.

A documentary about Lazar hit Netflix in June and he also appeared on Joe Rogan's wildly popular podcast to talk about the film, aliens, and, yes, Area 51.

Lazar himself has derided that Facebook event as "misguided" on his on Instagram, reminding readers, "There are no aliens or alien technology located there. The only place there was ever any alien technology was at Site S4, south of Area 51 proper. That was 30 years ago. S4 may have moved decades ago or it’s possible it’s no longer being used for the project."
