"It's time," she sings in perfect vibrato before segueing into a glass-shattering cheer.

Carey's holiday album, "Merry Christmas," which came out in 1994, was a cultural phenomenon and has since dominated the Christmas landscape. Carey has fully embraced her title as Christmas queen in recent years, returning each holiday to remind us to be festive.

The age-old debate has been reignited: When is the right time to start celebrating Christmas? It's Mariah Carey and the Lambily (her fans) versus the Thanksgiving traditionalists. Which side of the fence do you fall on? I've chosen mine. See you on the battlefield.
