Kind Canadians remind America it's already great     DATE: 2024-06-16 14:17:59

America is in dire need of a pep talk right now.

This bizarre battle between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump that we call an election is taking quite the toll on Americans. So our friendly neighbors to the north thought they'd brighten some spirits by sharing why they think the United States is so great.

With a thoughtful new take on Trump's campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again," The Garden, a creative agency in Toronto, created a campaign called "Let’s Tell America It’s Great."

"As we witnessed the challenges our friends to the south have been facing, we felt compelled to do something," The Garden wrote in a blog post.

In the video above, Canadians highlighted some of America's greatest attributes, such as kick-ass national parks, phenomenal music and pretty cool sports teams.

They reminded us that even though this election sucks, Americans need to stand tall. Next time politics have got you down, just remember Americans invented the internet and plan to to take humans to Mars, damn it.

The Garden encouraged Canadians to continue sharing kind words with America by submitting videos or tagging compliments on social media with #tellamericaitsgreat, so they moved the love-fest over to Twitter to discuss some of their favorite things about the nation.

"As their closest friends and neighbors, we thought it was important for us to do something to cut through the negativity and help remind them that no matter how bad things might seem, there are a lot of reasons to believe that America is still pretty great," The Garden wrote.

Thankful Americans are responding to the touching actions with even more love, and it seems as though Canada has successfully shined a light on this dark, dark time.

Thanks a bunch, Canada. You're pretty great yourself.
