After American singer-songwriter, Bob Dylan on Thursday morning was awarded the final Nobel Prize of 2016, the Nobel Prize in Literature, people began calling attention to the fact that no contributions from women were recognized.

People flocked to Twitter to share their disappointment surrounding this year's eleven Nobel Prize recipients, all of whom are men.

The claims of sexism in the award process highlight the fact that only 48 women were awarded a Nobel Prize between 1901 and 2015. And although 14 women have received the Nobel Prize in Literature during that time, people are still unimpressed.
