Buyer beware is an age-old aphorism that rings all the more true in the internet era.

When making online purchases, we should always remember that what looks beautiful on the internet might not be the reality.

One Twitter user found that out the hard way when she booked a hotel in Vietnam with what looked like a lovely pool. The listing on Booking.com made it sure look like there was a big, luxurious pool waiting for them.

The reality was...a little different.

Sure, there's another picture of the pool on the listing that looks like it could possibly be the correct size.

But most people just delighted in the hilarious juxtaposition of "online vs IRL."

Cue the catfishing jokes.

Some also noticed the unfortunate misspelling of the word "Welcome" on the steps...

And someone complimented the photographer of the Booking.com pic for pulling off such a marvelous illusion.

There's no hard feelings on Kershaw's end. When Booking.com reached out to her and asked if she needed help filing a complaint, she brushed it off.

Sometimes it's better just to laugh it off.
