A good rule to live by: If you don't know what a word means, just ask.

Poor Eric Trump seems to have missed that lesson in school. This weekend, Trump proudly took a photo with two sisters wearing matching t-shirts that read "Latinas contra Trump," which translates to: "Latinas against Trump."

Sisters Annie and Ceci Cardelle, who are of Cuban descent, decided to attend Eric Trump's rally in their hometown of Salisbury, North Carolina.

Annie was nervous about debuting the shirt, and assumed that most people at the rally would understanding the meaning of it:

"I thought ‘contra’ was pretty clear, but I guess not," Annie told Buzzfeed.

In fact, the two were actually called to take a photo with Eric Trump by Trump's campaign staff.

"I was sort of in disbelief when they actually called us forward," Ceci told Buzzfeed."I was like, ‘This is not happening,"

It appears that the Trump campaign staff didn't know what the word "contra" means, and assumed it meant "love" or "supports," not "I can't stand you."

What a beautiful picture, though.
