Uber driver took Bills player on 500

Buffalo Bills cornerback Shareece Wright took a $632 Uber from Chicago to Buffalo for practice this week. Why might an Uber driver consent to such a lengthy trip, you ask? Well, he just thought Wright wanted to eat some Buffalo wings.

Driver Hadi Abdollahian, who spoke with the Washington Post on Wednesday, says that after he elected to pick up Wright on the Uber app, Wright called him to discuss their upcoming route -- over 550 miles to Buffalo, New York.

But Abdollahian -- no doubt seasoned from driving dozens of people to get their Blazin' fix -- thought he was talking about Buffalo Wild Wings. After Wright got into the back of his car, he quickly discovered that was ... not the case.

Still, Abdollahian ended up agreeing to the journey -- probably a good move on his part, since he made $300 in tip as well as a $932 fare match from Bills sponsor BlueRock Energy.

On a more adorable note, it seems like the two forged a nice friendship on the nearly eight-hour trip, discussing Abdollahian's journey to Chicago from Turkey as a refugee, Wright's family, and Abdollahian's goals for the future (he wants to study computer science at Loyola). In other words, both parties got five stars.

Here's hoping that someday -- when Wright's back in Chicago, perhaps -- they can go out together for some delicious wings. It's probably only, like, a 15-minute drive!
