Filipinos are really pumped that a favourite cake was in 'Steven Universe'

If you're Filipino, you might recognise a dish in Cartoon Network's Steven Universe's upcoming Season 4 finale.

In the episode, Lars Barriga -- the show's resident high-school slacker and Steven's BFF -- decides to bring an ube cake to a potluck.

Lars chose the ube cake, in response to Steven telling him to make something that "represents him."

Ube is Tagalog for purple yam, and it's used to make various pastries in the Philippines -- including chiffons, puddings and swiss rolls. It's also what gives the purple Raindrop Cake its colour.
